Who We Are (History)

Midwest Electronic Systems (Midwest Electronics) was founded by Ralf Nosic in 1993 in Columbia, Missouri. Ralf had previously been employed as a "systems" sales representative by ADT from 1984 to 1987, and by Simplex from 1987 to 1993. Distributorships were immediately set up with Gamewell, FCI, Bosch, Bogen, Crest Electronics, Identicard, and a number of other manufacturers. The customer base grew rapidly in Central Missouri with customers such as the following:

We purchased our current Forum Blvd. facility in Columbia, Missouri in 2001.  In 2004, Midwest Electronics purchased Missouri Fire, a Gamewell-FCI distributor in the St. Louis area.
